Pop Up, winner of the European Product Design 2018

Pop Up, designed by Jokerlight’s head of design Rubén Saldaña was a winner of the European Product Design Award, a world-renowned design prize. The winning product, Pop Up, obtained the GOLD award in the product design modality, within the lighting category.

All submissions were evaluated by an expert jury of luminaries. The jury committee was comprised of independent designers, clients, design educators and editors who are devoted to brilliance in design. The evaluation is based on a range of criteria that are constantly adapted to current standards.

The Product Design of the Year Award recognizes the efforts of talented designers and design teams who aim to improve our daily lives with a practical and beautiful creations, designed to solve a problem, make life easier or simply spread joy.

About Pop Up

Pop Up is one of the smallest recessed spotlights in the world. It combines its small format with formal minimalism to achieve the perfect luminaire for projects that require the least possible space invasion.

Pop Up is able to render a luminous flux that allows it to undertake accent lighting functions from the ceiling. It can be moved in practically all the degrees of freedom, as it rotates 355° and can tilt at 90° (unlike the majority of other recessables on the market). It can be easily and smoothly moved by hand.
